Lynda de Wet Wins Gold at RHS 2014

Lynda de Wet was awarded a gold medal at the RHS Botanical Art Exhibition in London on Friday 11 April 2014. Lynda is a member of the BAASA Western Cape Region and follows hot on the heels of last year's Gold winner, Margaret de Villiers, also from the BAASA Western Cape Region.

"This is a huge success story for her, she worked very hard, produced marvellous paintings of unusual plants and researched them thoroughly," said Vicki Thomas. "Her work is so deserving of this acknowledgement and it is also great that she has sold work. Personally, I am particularly thrilled as I have seen her work develop to the highest standard and before she left I was completely confident that she would get a gold medal … great that I do not have to eat my hat!"
