Nitsa Christopher NAT Dip (Johannesburg) BA(FA) Unisa 

Nitsa is a practicing artist and a qualified art teacher with fourteen years of teaching experience at High School level in the Free State and KwaZulu Natal. She taught Painting, Sculpture, History & Appreciation of Art, Art Theory and Drawing and was sub-examiner for Drawing & History of Art for the Natal Senior Certificate Art Examinations. As a teacher her aim has been primarily to cultivate the creative potential of each individual and many of her young students have ventured into careers in the creative industry. Nitsa has participated in various group exhibitions in Natal, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Her work includes ceramics, mixed media as well as botanical painting. At present she teaches classes in Botanical Drawing and Painting. 

The workshops are suitable for those with little or no experience in drawing. It is also a valuable refresher for more advanced artists who will certainly benefit from it. The aim is to cultivate core skills in order to render accurate representations of plants and other natural forms. In this journey you will discover the many possibilities of your media as well as a more intense way of seeing. It is a foundation and guide to an ongoing process of cultivating your drawing skills by constant practice.
